Day 101: Two Heads Are Better than One

The boys played outside after work tonight while I grilled dinner. I was hesitant at first, because we had gotten home a bit late, and my original plan for dinner was botched. But I quickly regrouped and decided that I could grill hot dogs for Seth and Ed and me, and chicken nuggets for William. (Who says you can't grill chicken nuggets?) Not the healthiest option for dinner, but I added broccoli in a foil packet, so that was worth something, right? The boys had fun, we enjoyed the fantastic weather, and Ed came home in time for us all to eat dinner together on the deck. It turned out to be a pretty nice evening.

(I've got to figure out how to get my camera to focus on what I want it to focus on. It's hard to tell when I'm taking a picture what the focus is. It has one of those box thingies that supposedly tells me what it's focusing on, but clearly, it doesn't help. Guess I need to go back to the manual.)

Dinner:
Hot dogs and chicken nuggets on the grill with broccoli
Seth ate an entire hot dog and several more bites from my hot dog, and two chicken nuggets. He did not eat much broccoli, unfortunately. William ate almost 3 chicken nuggets, all of his broccoli, and some leftover popcorn from last night. We sat down to eat at 7:00. Neither one of the boys asked about dessert. (Thank goodness!)

Beth, look in your manual for "toggle focus points". You should be able to manually force it to focus in a certain area or switch it to full auto and let it decide. It sucks to have to stop and change the focal point, but for some shots, it's really worth having that control.

And to answer your question from my blog, no, I'm not making bows. I'm making tutus! I'll share a photo when I get them finished. Hope you have a great weekend, too!
