Seth is a bit of a conundrum when it comes to sizes. He's little according to the standard growth charts--consistently falling somewhere around the 10th percentile. But he doesn't appear to be little. He has pretty much matched William in weight and height at all of his well visits. But he has a big round belly, which William never had, so he's already wearing the 2T shirts that William just outgrew less than a year ago. For pants, however, he's still wearing mostly 12 month. Although his belly is big, is waist is small and his legs are short. Go figure. This is a picture of him in a 2T shirt and 18 mos. shorts. Too cute!
Dinner:
Parmesan chicken nuggets and green beans
Tonight's dinner was super easy. I just popped some of the chicken nuggets that I had frozen the last time I made them into the oven. They took about 18 minutes to cook. While they cooled, I nuked green beans. William ate his dinner with bread and butter. Seth ate his with peaches. They ate ice cream with chocolate syrup and whipped cream for dessert. I wish that I hadn't established dessert as a precedent, but William is so motivated to eat when dessert is an option. I think we need to work on making dinnertime a more enjoyable occasion--something that he wants to participate in. Any ideas?

I've heard this age is bad for mealtimes, too much other stuff going on.
We all sit down to eat dinner together every night. Nate wolfs his food down and after five minutes, he asks to be excused. No amount of great stories, singing, anything gets him to stay.
Sometimes he'll be rude enough (shouting STOP SINGING!) we send him to time out and then Alex will sit with us for a long time.
HA HA HA!
Alex takes forever to eat, sometimes we even get up and clean up the table while he finishes eating.
