The boys ate ice cream sandwiches for dessert. But after they went to bed, I fixed myself this:
After all, I did eat ALL of my green beans, too!
Dinner:
Breaded chicken tenderloins, green beans, potato salad, dinner rolls
Seth and I got home at about 6:10 p.m. After I changed clothes, I got to work breading the chicken tenderloins. (Dredge in flour, dip in egg, then toss in Italian-flavored bread crumbs.) I had them breaded and cooked, and everything else ready, by 6:50 p.m. Not bad! Seth ate all of his chicken and asked for more. Then he ate all of his green beans. He got an ice cream sandwich for dessert. William wanted an ice cream sandwich, but he hadn't finished his dinner. I told him he could have half an ice cream sandwich if he ate a few more bites of beans, but he could have a whole ice cream sandwich if he ate all of his green beans. He cleaned his plate and ate a whole ice cream sandwich. (Guess who's feeling better?) I know you're not supposed to negotiate the meal and use dessert as a reward, but it works, peoples. And anyway, I love dessert after dinner. They come by their sweet teeth honestly!

We negotiate too, but lucky for us Lana's favorite dessert is fruit. But she is motivated to get her fruit, so whatever. Your dessert looks heavenly, btw :)
So glad William is feeling better too!
