I've never read Kurt Vonnegut, so I thought I'd give it a try since we have the book. So far, so good. Although it has definitely taken a back seat to blogging and LOST. And of course, there's Real Simple--my favorite magazine and a true self indulgence. I recently bought myself a year subscription for $5, along with Southern Living. And my mom got me Better Homes and Gardens. Ahhhh, magazine heaven!
Dinner:
Pasta with tomato sauce, broccoli/spinach salad, garlic bread
Super easy dinner to put together after work. We sat down to eat at 6:30. William ate his pasta plain. Seth ate his with the sauce. When I first put dinner on the table, Seth had a 5-minute fit because he wanted to eat in the dining room. He finally got over it and sat in Daddy's seat in the kitchen. I made broccoli for William, but then he said he wanted spinach salad. So I put some fresh spinach with a little bit of ranch dressing on his plate. He ate his pasta, but I could tell he wasn't too keen on the spinach after all. He decided he was done. Meanwhile, Seth moved to my seat and decided he wanted to eat my angel hair pasta with sauce instead of his wagon wheel pasta with sauce. Whatever. He ate a good bit of pasta and broccoli. After their bath, Seth said he wanted more pasta, so we went downstairs. He did eat a little more, but I think he was stalling. (They learn fast!) William said he was still hungry, too, so he went downstairs and ate more pasta, all of his broccoli, and a couple of bites of spinach. I'll take it! He got an ice cream sandwich for dessert. All in all, kind of a scatterbrained dinner. But that's okay.

I'd put Cat's Cradle in my top three Vonnegut books. Everyone seems to have a favorite.
