Day 8: Seth

Pictures were tough today. I got a few cute shots of Seth this morning, but no cooperation after that. No cute pictures of the boys together, which is what I envisioned when I started this blog. And no good pictures of William, period. So I decided to make a collage of Seth's morning and night. This morning, he climbed into the bathtub fully clothed and started playing with the bath crayons. (I think the picture of him drawing is funny because it looks like he wrote his name.) This evening, every response I gave him set him off into a fit of tears. William said, "Sef's having a hard time, Mommy." (That makes me laugh because I often ask William if he's having a hard time when he gets upset of frustrated.) He was just so tired and we got home late, and it was just one of those nights.

Dinner:
Shrimp and Asparagus with Angel Hair Pasta
The boys and I didn't get home until almost 6:30 tonight. And Ed worked late. Needless to say, the boys did not get shrimp and asparagus with angel hair pasta. Instead, I gave them deli ham, leftover mac-n-cheese, and steamed asparagus. William watched TV and did his nebulizer as soon as he got home. Seth stood on a chair at the sink while I got their dinner together. But neither one of them was very interested in eating. William ate most of his ham, but very little mac-n-cheese and only a bite or two of asparagus. Seth maybe ate a few bites of mac-n-cheese. After the boys went to bed, I went ahead and made the shrimp dish for Ed and me. I wasn't sure if the boys would eat the shrimp anyway, and I thought it would be good for lunch for the rest of this week. So I made it and ate by myself at 9:30 since Ed still wasn't home. He's downstairs now eating it (at 11:00). Sometimes the plan just doesn't work.

Ha! I have given up on cute pics of the boys together unless I resort to bribery AND have someone helping me entertain them.

I was too tired to execute our meal plan. I drove through Chick-fil-A for the boys instead.
