Day 4: Morning Prep

I took this picture this morning, in our bathroom. When I brush my teeth, I usually sit on the edge of the bathtub. So the boys often want to do the same thing when they brush their teeth. Pretty cute. I usually wish that I could get through my morning routine in peace while the boys sleep. But I'm glad I didn't miss this moment.

Dinner:
Cheese and Crackers, Hummus, and Broccoli
William said he was hungry on the way home and wanted cheese and crackers and broccoli and corn and green beans and waffles with syrup and whipped cream. So I figured, why not? I served the cheese and crackers and broccoli (steamed in the microwave) first, and waited for the waffles request, which fortunately, never came. Seth ate a ton of broccoli (I actually had to make more) and licked the hummus off of carrot sticks. (I keep trying carrot sticks, hoping the boys will like them one day.) He ate some of the cheese. (I served American cheese and mozzarella string cheese.) William, as usual, had a hard time transitioning from play to dinner. But he did okay. He ate almost all of his cheese and crackers and all of his broccoli, although at the end, I was feeding it to him as he and Seth played at the sink. (He eats pretty well when he's distracted.) He didn't ask for dessert.

Ed and I ate dinner after the boys went to bed. (I ate carrots and hummus while the boys ate their dinner.) Ed made angel hair pasta with jar sauce (which is super unusual for him) and I made a quesadilla. Hopefully I can come up with a whole-week plan for next week.
