Day 39: Back to Work

Daycare opened two hours late this morning, but at least it opened! The federal government opened two hours late, too, so traffic was absolutely atrocious getting in. We left the house at 9:00 a.m. and didn't get to daycare until 11:00 a.m. After saying for the last two days that he missed school and missed his friends, William spent the whole two hours in the car this morning saying that he didn't want to go to school and that he didn't like his friends. You just can't win. Needless to say, my office was a welcome sight this morning!

Dinner:
Leftover Parmesan chicken with corn
Not a very imaginative dinner, but who cares. We sat down to eat at 6:30, but Seth didn't really sit down so much as stand on the chair, try to sit on the table, and try to sit in everyone else's seat but his own.William wasn't very keen on focusing on his dinner, either. Both boys ate, but it took a bit of effort. I eventually took Seth upstairs for his bath (more like followed him upstairs for his bath) and left William downstairs to finish his dinner. Once I left him alone, he managed to finish up pretty quickly. He joined Seth for his bath, and then when Ed got home, I left him downstairs with Ed where he got to eat an ice cream sandwich.
