Day 47: One of My Favorite Books
I can't remember where we got this book or who gave it to me. It might have come from a book baby shower that my bridge group gave to me when I was pregnant with William. That was by far my favorite shower, and we have LOVED every single book that we received from those women. They were all older than me, with kids in college and fully grown, and they all brought a book that their children had loved. Anyway, I would never have thought that William would like this book, but he's drawn to it. The story is so sweet and it makes me cry every time I read it. William doesn't pick it out all that often, but it's in our rotation, and I'm very glad it is.
Dinner:
Broiled rock fish, Parmesan couscous, broccoli/salad
I rubbed the fish with olive oil, kosher salt and garlic and put it under the broiler. The couscous was from a box, and I nuked broccoli for the boys and served salad for Ed and me. Neither of the boys ate very much, and neither ate the couscous at all. Seth had been snacking before dinner, but I also think he didn't really like the fish. I don't know why William didn't eat more. Oh well. Ed and I thought it was good.

When I worked at RPDS, I often read that book to the four year olds. I got lots of great books ideas during those years but I had forgotten about this one. Thanks for the reminder.
