I remembered to check William's art box at school today and this was one of the "pieces" in his collection.
Dinner:
Lime garlic pork chops with asparagus and dinner rolls
Since I did not menu plan this week, I didn't really have a plan for tonight's dinner. I had prepared pork chops for last night (marinated in lime juice, soy sauce, olive oil, and garlic), but since we didn't end up eating them, I put them in the freezer, thinking we'd have them another night. Not sure why I didn't think that we could have them tonight, but regardless, they were now frozen, which meant I had to thaw them when I got home. Fortunately, I had cut them thin, so they thawed quickly under running water. Once they were thawed, I put them under the broiler along with the asparagus. We got home at 6:15, and sat down for dinner at 7:00. (Not bad, huh?) William ate all of his asparagus and then asked for more, but he only ate a few bites of the pork chops. Seth ate a few bites of asparagus (maybe as much as 2 stalks), but would not touch the pork. I gave Seth some string cheese. All in all, the best dinner we've had all week.
